It rusted out just behind the resonator body where it connects to the pipe behind it. The cheapest route is probably just to have a glasspack welded there. Supposedly they only last a couple years, but that's longer than I plan on having the car. Of course, I could just buy a stock resonator and install it myself, but they are over $100.
The good news is that it isn't the flex pipe/cat assembly again! And thankfully that also means the loud exhaust noise/smoke has been filtered by all the emissions shit haha

Couldn't you just ditch the resonator and weld a piece of straight up in there? As long as you have the muffler it shouldn't be much louder.
