Another update with my exhaust. It's the resonator

It rusted out just behind the resonator body where it connects to the pipe behind it. The cheapest route is probably just to have a glasspack welded there. Supposedly they only last a couple years, but that's longer than I plan on having the car. Of course, I could just buy a stock resonator and install it myself, but they are over $100.

The good news is that it isn't the flex pipe/cat assembly again! And thankfully that also means the loud exhaust noise/smoke has been filtered by all the emissions shit haha

Couldn't you just ditch the resonator and weld a piece of straight up in there? As long as you have the muffler it shouldn't be much louder.

I concur. Straight pipe it.

Would that work though if it's so rusted?

Depends how rusted it is, I guess.
